East Hill - Click for larger image

The dozer is lowering the hill on the east ramp down to the bridge. This is being done to help ensure the last section of the bridge will not drag on the ground when being launched.

Fill for crane base - Click for larger image

The crane base had to be moved a few feet. A load of rock fill is being delivered.

Filling crane base - Click for larger image

The excavator is moving the rock fill for the extended crane base. The weeping tile was placed in the base to help drain off ground water seeping from the hill.

The 175t crane arrived in the afternoon.
